We have a funny story about these Strut Tower bars. The webmaster has a friend, who didn't have a whole lot of experience in the car industry. He likes to make up names for things when he doesn't know what they are.
When he first saw a strut tower bar on his car, he called it an 'icky bar'. "Huh?" he explained that it was obviously placed there to keep your hands from getting 'icky' when leaning over the engine. Hence the name of this page.
