★ SeaWorld Walk for Wishes ★
“Help the Make-A-Wish Foundation turn dreams into reality” (Ruben Galvan, San Diego 6). It is that time of year again to make wishes come true. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. My name is Jessie Woodford and I was diagnosed with Langerhan’s Cell Histiocytosis in June 2008. After long days at the hospital and the the affects of chemotherapy, the Foundation helped my family and I take my mind off the negatives and filled our lives with hope. Make-A-Wish sent my family and I on my wish trip to Maui in August 2009. My wish trip made me realize that my disease will never come back again, and I have been disease free for a year and a half. The foundation makes dreams come true for many families. February 26th is the Walk for Wishes. You can help us make dreams come true for Wish Kids in San Diego. Being a wish kid, the power of a wish means the world. Please join us so we can make a difference in a child’s life. Last year, you helped me raise almost $5,000 for the Walk for Wishes. With your help, we can raise more than we did last year. Join my team or donate to my team, HistioHeroes. Lets do this HistioHeroes!
