AWR builds a variety of Urethane Engine Mounts.

Many factory engine mounts are too soft, in an effort by the factory to control vibration and quiet the interior of the car. In addition to using soft rubber, some mounts are liquid filled or have holes cut in the rubber to make them even more flexible.

The downside to these soft mounts is driveline lash. You step on the throttle and some of the torque is used to twist the engine in it's mounts, rather than going through the driveline to the wheels. With AWR's urethane engine mounts, you'll benefit by reducing or eliminating driveline lash, as well as by receiving better throttle response. Instead of wasted torque turning the engine and trans in their mounts, the power is put to the ground right away. Urethane Engine Mounts from AWR benefits both street and track cars.

In some cases we simply replace the stock rubber with Urethane inserts utilizing the stock metal mount casings. In other cases, we completely fabricate our own design, new metal mounts with our urethane inserts.

Urethane mounts are a great way to control driveline lash. The mounts are usually available in different durometer ratings (hardnesses) in 70, 88, and 95, depending on application. 70 is the softest of our urethane mounts, though still offers much improvement over the stock rubber mounts. 90 durometer is the stiffest we offer.

PROTEGE TRANSMISSION MOUNT

Complete mount on top of transmission for Mazda Protege with 70 or 88, or 95 durometer solid urethane bushings. Improves driveline response by inhibiting driveling lash, putting all that motion to the task of moving the car along.

Completely new fabricated and reinforced mount, silver powder coated. The 70 durometer bushings, which are recommended for the street. The 88 durometer bushings are a bit firmer, and the 95 durometer which are only recommended for racing. These are too hard for the street and may cause undesirable resonance in the car. For street applications, order the mounts with the 70 durometer bushings.

Engine Brace for 2006-up Mazda MX-5. It mounts on the passenger side of the car. It attaches to the right front shock tower and to the right front side of the head.

Available with polyurethane bushings for street cars or solid mounts for the MX-5 Cup cars and true auto-cross and track cars.

Mazda3 URETHANE ENGINE MOUNTS

Complete rear engine mount with stock rubber and metal bushing removed, and replaced with 8 durometer solid urethane bushings, really improves driveline response by inhibiting driveling lash, putting all that motion to the task of moving the car along.

After the rubber from new stock mounts, we weld in strengthening pieces and then powder coat the metal black. We then install the solid urethane bushings.

This mount comes with 88 durometer bushings, which are only recommended for racing. These are too hard for the street and will cause an undesirable resonance in the car. For street applications, order the mounts with the 70 durometer bushings.

1999-2003 PROTEGE, MP3, AND PROTEGE5 URETHANE ENGINE MOUNTS

AWR is aware there are other companies now out there which are selling 'pretty' engine mounts, that are cheaper than our mounts. While we strive to make a nice looking product, function is our primary goal.

These other mounts, while shiny and pretty, use a really soft urethane bushing, which will not come close to stopping your driveline lash.

If you just want your hidden mounts to be pretty, then you can buy the other mounts, but if you truly want a performance mount, then there is no substitute for the AWR mount with stiff urethane bushings.

Manufactured with stiff urethane bushings instead of rubber encased in a gold zinc bracket. Our softest 70 durometer urethane, yet still provides much more motion control than stock mounts.

Recommended for Automatic transmission model or for manual transmission if you don't want the stiffer 88 or 95 durometer mounts. Helps stop drivetain lash (rocking) when transitioning from gas on to gas off. Includes left and right (near radiator and firewall) engine mounts in urethane (39-040/050). Can be used on Automatic or Manual transmissions. Bushings are also available separately and inexpensively.

1999-2003 PROTEGE, MP3, AND PROTEGE5 URETHANE ENGINE MOUNT 'INSERTS'

For the engine mounts on the passenger side and driver's side of the engine, that we don't make urethane replacements for, we make polyurethane inserts.

The factory rubber mounts have holes in the rubber that the urethane inserts push into.

Includes four inserts, two per mount on passenger and driver's side. Does not include factory mounts, which are shown in photo just to show fitment of bushings.

These motor mounts, utilizing 88 or 95 durometer polyurethane bushings in a reinforced gold cadmium plated housing were designed to cure the rock in the engine caused by worn out factory mounts.

Not only do they eliminate most of the movement but they increase shifting crispness in the manual application. Also available for auto trans cars. FITS 626, MX-6, PROBE 4 CYL AND V-6.
